Institute of Medical Quality
San Bernardino Medical Group is accredited by the Institute of Medical Quality from June 8, 2008 to June 7, 2011.
The Institute of for Medical Quality (IMQ) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of care provided to patients across the continuum of health care.
IMQ performs a rigorous audit process on-site that reviews all physician and provider credentials, medical records, compliance with privacy laws, administration, quality management programs, continuity of care, diagnostic training, medication management, facility and environmental safety and surgical procedures.
The Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) is different from other health-care quality organizations in that it makes providing quality care easier and eliminates, rather than creates, barriers to doing so. What makes IMQ special is its emphasis on education, counseling, and direct involvement of practicing physicians.
Health Net After-Hours Access Survey
On an annual basis, primary care physicians, (PCP’s) contracting with Health Net, Inc. are randomly selected to participate in the After-Hours Access Survey. The survey is conducted to ensure that information on how to obtain after-hours services for urgent and emergency medical conditions is accessible to Health Net members.
Health Net is proud to acknowledge and award San Bernardino Medical Group for achieving excellent status on the 2009 After-Hours Access Survey. Excellent status is reserved for select participating providers who meet or exceed Health Net’s target performances of 90% for both the following:
- Providing clear instructions for emergency situations
- Providing clear instructions on how to contact a physician after hours
