Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency
San Bernardino Medical Group has partnered with the Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA) and the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP). The HPP enhances the ability of hospitals and medical groups to prepare for and respond to bioterrism and other public health emergencies including natural disasters. Hospitals, outpatient facilities, health centers, poison control centers, emergency medical services and other healthcare partners work with the appropriate state or local health departments to acquire funding and develop healthcare system preparedness through this program. The HPP supports priorities for the National Preparedness Goal that were established by the Department of Homeland Security in 2005. The Goal guides entities at all levels of government in the development and maintenance of preventing, protecting against, responding to and recovering from major events.
